Im looking for a trailer hitch to move a jet ski trailer back and forth from my back yard, only problem is the only ones available are only made to fit up to a 2002 model. Why would this be?? Im thinking of getting one anyways and hoping someone on here has modded one to fit a 2004 model or has some ideas?? I dont have a welder available so if anyone would care to offer up a hand, I would appriciate it.

Here is what im looking at........

ATV Trailer Hitch Yamaha Blaster 200 1988-2002: eBay Motors (item 120543463758 end time Sep-10-10 14:28:19 PDT)

Yeah, doesn't look like a hard project. I don't understand why they have it stopped at 2002, but I mean '03 is the new style but I don't see how that would have anything to deal with the hitch. Go for it.

well i did and it works minus the support bracket, it is in the way of the rear brake, looks like I need to fab a new bracket mount some way.

interesting I never thought even for a secound that a hitch would even be available for the blaster

An average jet ski only weighs about the same as a blasty and I have had my blaster pulled by a stock blaster so i think you will be fine unless you are on a big hill.

^^^^ ^ it'l pull not a problem , but will damage your engine

haven't you ever used ur quad to give someone a tow? blaster is like the lightest quad around it doesn't hurt anything to tow say a raptor with a tow strap? obvously you don't know anything about motors so maybe you should shut ur face cause it can't hurt crap to tow something light

pulling anything with your blasty is going to be hell on the clutch. will it do it?? yeah probally. would i tow shti with mine? no efffin way, only to drag a buddys 4poker out of the woods as a last resort lol :D

i had to do that for a buddy of mine...he was on a lakota and the cases blew out....bad part is he was about 400+ pounds on a heavy lakota.....it was real tough on the blasty but it pulled him outta the woods and back to his house

i want to say that the average jet ski weighs more than a blaster.
i know the one we had one summer weighed a lot.
the newer ones are getting heavier and heavier.

also a blaster really isn't made to pull anything. it is hard on the clutch.

if you really wanted a hitch, just use a stock skid plate, weld a 1/4" thick steel coupon on it and drill a hole for a ball to attach to the coupon. easy, cheap and works.

my 400lb honda recon just shut off in the middle of the woods for no apperant reason and we towed it back with the blaster. it turned out the carb was full of dirt.

if you are towing something with your blaster or really any 2-stroke quad with a clutch.
it is best to push the thing at first to help get it moving, once moving it isn't that bad on the clutch.

pretty much my point exactly. or even if you do get it moving with the clutch just try to keep moving its not like you don't slip the clutch for other things
