I just wanted to know if anyone had done any research or tried soaking a piston in z max engine treatment for a while before installing it?:-/

never done it but definately thought about it. seems like it would work. ill be watching this thread to see if it works or not

Yes and it works to help with friction, so how is soaking a piston in it going to help anything, its not like the piston is going to absorb it up. It will burn off just like the oil in your gas. But you can use the fuel treatment in the gas. 2-Cycle Treatment: Mix fuel and oil to manufacturer's recommendations, then add 1 oz. of zMAX Small Engine Formula per gallon of fuel/oil mixture. For best results, use zMAX Small Engine Formula in fuel consistently and treat engine oil every 6 months or 50 hours.

but its still a treatment that has to be repeated. just use the small engine stuff like you're supposed to, or just make sure that you maintain it and jet it correctly and it'll give you years of trouble free service....
