Yamaha study on bearing lubricity with 2 stroke oil. pdf

So, ............................ how much of that did you read? Understand?

Your thoughts?

Rather deep reading, I kinda skimmed over it. One thing that jumped out is the lack of "Brand" names of tested oils  Think they would have at least shown where Yamalube was on charts.

Kinda just skimmed through it myself. I think I might have to read this one 2 or 3 times to get a more better understanding. One thing I thought was cool was how they had a temp sensor on the big end bearing.

My conclusion; Polish your exhaust port to as close a mirror finish as possible ;).. and use mineral oil (?).. "It has been reported that polybutene based oil causes a slight drop in engine power output compared to mineral based oil."

Castor oil is used to treat constipation. It may also be used to clean out the intestines before a bowel examination/surgery. Castor oil is known as a stimulant laxative. It works by increasing the movement of the intestines..................
