I think its a 1/4 tap i wanna go with which is 6.4 mm what do you think the old men at the hard ware store said he wasnt sure

you need to go to a real hardware store, if they didn't have bolt, nut, drill and thread gauges to tell you what you need, they should stick to selling paint and bags of top soil ! LOL

Do you recommend tapping through the reed cage and boot installed or removing before???? I have the same exact problem.
