Hi all. Any one know about doing set screws.
I have a 1/2 shaft that has a keyseat: 1/8" X 1/16" in it and I have a hub with no keyway in it that is going onto the shaft.
The hub has a set screw in it that will go into the keyseat but I was wanting to know about installing another set screw in the hub 90 degrees from the one that's already in it.
Would I have to make the other setscrew the same size or can it be a little bigger or do both have to be the same size?
Image. Pink is hub, grey is shaft, black is set screws.
I have no way to make a keyway in the hub. Also this part is running at slow speeds and not under much load.
Thanks
