piston removal

step 1: remove the clips

step 2: use a socket to push out and remove that inner slide pin

my question: is it normal to bang on that slide pin really hard to get it out , it took about 5 minutes straight banging it out with a socket, and could i have inadvertanley put stress on the piston, damaging it, on youtube it looked so much easier

You Could Have Damaged It , But You should be able to tell if you did by looking at It

It was pretty tough to get the pin out of mine. It didn't damage anything though
