Ok guy im working on my brother quad. 86 lt 230 with a ts 400cc motor. It kick over about three times then acts like it is locking up. Just came out of shop. I just rebuilt the motor. I putoil in it. Has not even had gas in it yet.

If you just got it back from a shop, bring it back to them. no way should you get an engine back not running unless agreed upon

I had them flush the oil

Only the piston and rings. The rest was done before my brother onwed it

Take off the clutch cover. I have a feeling the kick start return spring is getting in the way.
