Okay so I just got an 06 blaster, in good shape overall. My carburetor started leaking from the overflow tube the other day, so I took it off to check the floats, they seemed to be fine and didn't notice any gas leaking into them or anything. Then I noticed the overflow adjustment screw to be "wallered" out. I've read a couple of threads that said this could cause the problem. Anyways, I cleaned the carb and reassembled it, and it still "overflows." It's an OEM mikuni carb, and I figured the best/cost efficient way to fix it is to get a new float bowl, but I cant find that part anywhere. Any suggestions or ideas?

Did you do the eye test, or actually measure and reset them? Read this:

Also, you mentioned that it spits out fuel. Turn on the gas. When it starts to pour out, if you bang on the carb with the end of a screwdriver or hammer a few times, does it stop? If it does, your float is out of range.

If it doesn't stop, take off the bowl. Put it on a level surfice. Fill it up with gas/water to the rim. If it holds the fuel/water then you know the float is wacky. If it leaks, then you've found the culprit.

Unfortunately, if the drain bolt is bad you will have to find either a used carb on Craigslist, or call around to all the local motor sports shops. Just like a kickstart lever, you have to buy the entire thing, not just the bowl. Most shops will carry used/extra parts.

If you can get the bolt out, order a new one online from here. It's part #18 http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts...special-edition-yfs200sev/o/m145313#sch524661

Thanks for the reply, I'm gonna call around tomorrow, the local shop was closed today. Idk why I didn't think to test the bowl on its own.....Duh lol. I'll give it another looksie.

You said overflow tube is leaking gas, is it the bowl drain tube at the base of the bowl or is it the actual overflow tubes on the sides of the carb?
