No idea. Have the bill of sales, so I can see what the DMV and/or DNR needs in the next day or so. However with my work, I'm usually off after either place closes for the day. However buying a blank frame and kind of doing a scratch build would be nice, but I'll leave that for another time. I may modify this one over time, unless I end up messing the frame real badly and getting a different one. Do they make Chromoly frames or are they all mild steel?

Well I got the carb to stop leaking gas. Turned out the little needle was not in the hole right under the floats. Put it on properly and now it works. Now I just have to adjust the carb so I can keep it running. Had to leave the choke on full to keep it going. Put it in half and it'll die, all the way off it'll die.

Well I'm not too happy now. Apparently in order for me to ride in ditches and trails in the state, I have to go through a safety course, since I was born after 1987. Bunch of bull. Top of that I was only given a registration tag for the quad and no plate, have to get that separately in Minnesota??? Then on top of that the trail/ditch near me is off limits between April 1 and August 1 because from Moorhead down to Taylors Falls being considered and Agricultural zone, we cannot ride.

Man these people really like to bust your chops, wish I had a few acres to ride on and would not have to deal with this. Wonder how much of a pain it'll be once I get a small buggy built and try to get that registered to ride?

that is when i decided to take the law into my own hands lol
i have had many problems with trying to ride places myself it really sucks:(

I thought you guys lived in the "Land of the Free" and I lived in a socialist country?

Hey Blaster2017, you are doing the right thing cleaning everything up before you ride. 2 big things with Blasters is to leak test the engine (leaks go lean and burn up the engine) and to do a "plug chop" to check the jetting out before you start hammering on it. Many guys blow up their Blaster a week after buying it because they were not as careful as you.

As for title, here in this corner of the Great White North I go to the police station and they check out the VIN# to see if it is stolen. They fill out a paper (I got from DOT/RMV) saying it is what I claim it to be, I pay the sales tax on the purchase price and the RMV will give me title and plate, all for about $100 or so. If the Robber Barons get their share, they are happy.

Whoops forgot to mention, we were able to get all the paper work and stuff to get it signed over. All the DMV needed was a bill of sale. Had to do 2, one from the original owner to my dad than one from my dad to me. Did this last week, since they were going up in price for registration on July 1.

I have the registration tags for it that are good until 2019. But now I need to take an online course in order to be able to ride on public trails. I thought my drivers license was good enough, apparently not.

I filled the oil tank with proper Yamalube oil for oil injection. I changed the oil in the bottom end as well. Filled the gas tank with Non-oxygenated (no ethanol gas 91 octane) all before I first started it and ran it for a good half hour. Destroyed my shoes on the kick starter though.

Well got the carburetor tuned finally yesterday. Was a bit of a fight, just had to let it warm up a bit. Now I need to figure out the clutch and gear select. Both the brake and clutch handles are sloppy and need replacing, the clutch cable may need either adjusting or replacing, may do the handle first to see what that does. Now it could be because I'm not use to driving with a foot gear selector, or it's just warn out but, getting into neutral is a huge pain with this. For whatever reason trying to pop out of first or dropping from second into neutral, it does not want to go into it. It just goes into either first or second, depending on where I'm at in the gears. It feels a bit stiff.

Yesterday I had to hold in the clutch and rear brake to reach over and shift into neutral with my hand. What would be causing it to not want to go in and out of gears like this easily? Outside of needing a new fuel switch, it's running great far as I can tell. Wish db snorkels were still being made, have to run ear plugs while riding around.
