Kickstart issues

Help! Recently purchased a blaster and I'm having trouble with the kickstart. When working properly it will engage the engine. But now it doesn't rebound at all. When kicking it doesn't rebound period and it doesn't wanna pull back up by hand either. Not sure if the spring is bad or what, please help

I removed the cover nd replaced the spring put it back together and it's still doing the same thing it was, not rebounding. What do you think it could be? The gear?

Spring is broke or you didnt do it right lol
