As you can see, kelly blue book, did not go back farther then 1992, or I couldn't find it. They didnt have options for average or poor condition. I was not able to change it. All it would list was in excellent condition. But it gives a good idea to people, what something is worth or not worth.

This pretty much tells me, in my view, unless its super modded and has allot of new aftermarket parts on it. that anything before the year 2000, is not worth $1,000.

Its easy for us blaster owners, to start putting tons of aftermarket parts on and goodies. but the real re-sale value, can help us, keep the perspective on,what you likely will ever get out of your blaster.

Again, those $$$ are for in excellent condition..

A lot of the value of a blaster has to do with regional and seasonal availability. Around here (on craigslist for example) a running blaster is worth (read: selling price, not asking price!) about $1000 no matter its age. A 03+ MIGHT bring an additional $100 to $200.

Every now and then you see the occasional dillusional person who is asking $2,500 but generally asking prices are around $1,250 or so so selling prices are going to be slightly below that.

Pre 03 Blasters are $600-$800 quads,IMO. Unless it's got mods that I desire and can verify the parts used, who built it and how fresh it is. I've decided to sale my 01, which is a perfect running and riding quad. I will try to trade it so the asking price will be on the high end, $900 but if I listed it for sale, no trades, the price would be $750.

I personally won't give over $ 500.00 for an '02 or older Blaster, unless it is extremely clean and hasn't been abused. I used to have a fairly nice (but still used and cosmetically-worn) 2002 Blaster, and I was darn lucky to get $ 850.00 out of it when I sold it. I gave $ 1000.00 cash for my 2005 Blasty back in 2008, but it was showroom clean with a Toomey pipe/jet/air filter kit thrown in. Sounds like KBB is on track with values, if a little high for some years.

An hear I thought you guys were gonna hammer the prices being to low for kelly Blue Book.

Ya I didnt give much of a personal view on my thoughts on the listings / prices.

Aside from using it for a trade in value. I personally have not paid more than $500 for any of the blasters we own.

The blue one in my avator, was the one we paid for $500. the rest, one was $60 and the other a trade for a paint ball gun for one.

I personally wont pay more than $300 for one. (pre 2003). The wife bought the blue one for $500. I would have walked away, but it is in great shape and her choice.
