how to seal?

Ive got a problem where my flange meets the pipe itself, i tired new springs and some rtv sealent, but everytime theres a leak there and i cant seem to get it stopped. What do you guys suggest i do to help fix this problem?

tons of copper hi temp perma gasket, apply liberally to pipe, slide the pipe in, wipe the excess off,
allow at least 24 hours to cure before even starting it.

i've even considered a few vitron o-rings in with the copper juice ?

Ill buy some of that sealent from the local aut parts store tomorrrow befoe school and gve it a try afterwards.
