I just got a used 2000 Blaster but the bottom end is locked up. The piston skirt broke and is in the case so I figured this is the best place to start my journey on the rebuild or buy a used engine.

If the cases aren't destroyed, rebuild that motor. That way know know what you have, not someone else's junk.

Hi guys.
The case has a pencil sized hole on the bottom right case and a crack running from the hole on the left case.
I've found a complete bottom end on Ebay that the seller says is in good working order. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy this. It already has new reeds and piston in my top end so I hope this will be plug and play.
I was going over and degreasing the bike last night and I really appreciate the lightness and simplicity of this machine. I have a Honda foreman 4x4 i use for hunting but its a heavy and complex machine so I'm really stoked about upgrading this blaster.
