Can anyone tell me what would cause my headlight bulb to keep blowing out? Last 2 from the dealer didn't last long. Using a 12v 45w/45w bulb that the service manual recommends.

I just checked the trouble shooting section of my manual it say bulb burn out problems could be: faulty rectifier/regulator, improper ground, faulty main and/ or light switch

mine was a bad regulator. got another on ebay for 5 dollors and fixed it. its under your front hood you may try cleaning where it mounts as thats how it grounds i beleive.

it is your regulator, mine was doing the same thing, blowing bulbs, rear and front, got a new regulator and it sorted it out, just check the voltage on the socket with a multimeter.

i haven't read this thread, but are you touching the bulb with your bare hands? if so make sure you wipe it off afterwards, the oils from your hand can cause the light to blow.
also like said, voltage regulator will make them blow.
also make sure then nothing is causing the light to ground out and short
