gas shut off wont stop flow

so was out riding started running rough stopped to check gas was flowing from the carb overflow freely shut off gas towed out off dunes still leaking pulled hose coming from shut off to carb with in off position gas pouring freely? oregon dunes rock

buy or rebuilt your valve. they sell rebuild kits for them on ebay but i found that the filters in the tank are usually deteriorated so its worth just buying a new valve

sometimes a quick dissassembly, cleaning with carb cleaner, and reassembly can fix a leaking valve.

I wouldn't mess with fixing it, they are relatively cheap just buy a new petcock( yep that's the correct name for em)

took me 15 minutes to remove, clean & reinstall my valve and it hasn't leaked since. That was a couple years ago.
