Dry ice.

So our engines are air cooled. My thought is to put a block of dry ice in the air box to keep the air cool. It's made of a solid carbon dioxide so in theory it couldn't be that harmful.

Thoughts?
 
It's O2 in air, & fuel & spark that provides combustion. CO2, would not be helpful.
 
Was a good theory. Maybe an ice pack. Something has to keep it cool besides ambient temperature.
