Crankshaft play

So I'm doing my first rebuild on my yamaha blaster. It already has hotrod crankshaft but I noticed the shaft has alot of play only on the stator side but the trany side is nice tight and has no play at all. My question is does this mean my whole crank is bad and need a new one or just need to replace the bearings and seals?

Also if it moves like this you have problems.

The rod has no play at all up and down it does slide side to side alittle bit at the bottom connecting to the crank.
