crankcase oil

who here uses 10w30 for there oil?
how do you like it?
i am thinking about going and buying some royal purple 10w30.its also synthetic

the crankcase oil for a 2stroke is the pre-mix. It drops out into the crank case.

If you mean tranny oil, I would use specific 2 stroke tranny oil made for dirt bikes and quads. It's a little different than just regular motor oil.

You mean tranny oil rite? I always run what the manufactor called for. Which is usually 10w40.

yamaha recommends 10/30 oil....thats what i have been using for 7 yrs and no problems

i use 10/30 tranny oil from yamaha..its made for the quad why not use it.

i have the oil i usually use it maxima mtl 80wt.i just thought since i know royal purple is some really good oil and it was 10w30 why not try it.

i use pensoil 10w40 in all my bikes/quads the royal purple will work fine. I also change mine after every ride also. cheap maintance/protection

I use Bel-Ray Gear-Saver 75W. When its cold i let my engine warm up for 10 mins til i think the oil is nice and thin.

I use Mobil One Synthetic Racing 4T it can usually be found at walmart it's basically streetbike oil. Shifts like butter!

i thought full synthetic was bad for the clutch and makes it slip easier?

Ive been running Amsoil 10w40 full synthetic motorcycle oil for 2 years putting
2600 miles on my 2 stroke atv and motorcycle. Not one clutch failure! Just make sure the oil has no friction modifiers. Friction modifiers will lead to clutch slip ending up in failure. Rotella t dose ok but in my 4 stroke after a summer of using it the clutch started slipping. So I would not use rotella
