Here's a cheap and easy way to fix cracks or holes in your exhaust, and or leaks where your downpipe and silencer meet. Go to your local auto parts store and ask to see their high temp radiator hoses. Choose a size ( diameter ) that will fit snug on your exhaust/silencer. Grab 2 hose clamps ( they are the same clamps used to secure your carb to your reeds ) then go home and cut the hose to the desired length you need. Depending on the length you need, you will probably be able to cut at least 3 - 4 more pieces out of the left over hose that you can use in the future if your original piece starts to age, crack from dry rot, or anything like that. I hope this DIY will help some people out as well as save some time and money !
