Can't get bike to idle

So guys couple months back did a rebuild on the 98 blaster been running mint this whole time ...took it for a ride couple weeks back ran mint and went to start it the next day and it would only run super high rpms on choke and won't run at all without choke....got into it tonight put a whole carb rebuild kit and same problem, can't seem to figure it out could it be the slide? Throttle cable? Not sure what it is but this thing will only run super high rpms while choked out and not at all with choke closed any feedback is appreciated as always

It would be a good idea to do a leak test as a high idle can mean an air leak...

I need to get one of those asap I know that air leaks mean a lot , in the mean Time is there anything I can adresss to maybe figure the problem out?

Yup leak test without delay or be prepared to, suffer the consequences...
