The exhaust port will cause a power loss if it is partially blocked with carbon.

A leak at the header pipe can also cause a lean mix du the the fuel charge not being pushed back into the cylinder.

Nearly always a lack of power is because of an air leak, flooding or incorrect jetting and needle clip placement.

DMC says to use the bottom clip on the stock needle.

I since have moved up the clip one notch as tghe weather gets pretty hot here.

Try the bottom clip, if it babbles at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle or it wont pull through the powerband to get onto the main, drop the clip one notch.

Plug chop the needle to make sure it is not too lean.

The float level must be correct, the idle must be set correctly to be able to get on to the needle, followed by the main jet.

Awk, stock carb, the DMC loves the stock needle to be pretty rich, I run a DMC Alien and I guess you have seen the vid of my lad doing donuts, that was on the lowest clip.

I since have lifted it one as the weather is warmer.
