Recently bout a 1998 blaster tested the stator it was bad so I ordered a caltric stator on ebay. I see the screw holes are slotted for timing where as the oem stator isnt. Was looking to see if anyone can help me with this I'm assuming there isn't any timing marks In side the case.

On the inside of the stator area there is a nub on the left side at about 8-9 o clock. You want to use the bottom of that nub as your mark. If you want it at 0 then set it there, etc. Also good luck with that stator. I will bet money it does not work correctly and you will be buying an oem stator any day now. Those caltric stators are good for the adjustable plate only.

Greatly appreciate the advice I'll send it back. The cheapest I've been able to find oem is at cheap cycle parts
