Well so far they are the same plug. The R is a resister and I read the R type will actually rob some spark power. Without the R it will interfere with certain devices. Now my question is will the B8ES mess with the coil or cdi in any way? On another forum they said the non R are cheaper and have better spark, better as long as there will be no electronic problems.

If you are running the stock electrics don't worry about it and run the B8ES if you prefer. I have heard that the R plugs are required for some of the aftermarket CDI's.
