blaster won't shift sometimes

OK so I bought my blaster not too long ago. It was running perfect a few days ago and I let my cousin ride it down the road, when he got back I got on it and it wouldn't shift past second. After giving it a little hell is finally shifted up and then got stuck in 5th. I haven't had it stick in 5th anymore but pretty often is won't shift past second, then It'll finally shift then go right back to not going past 2nd. Any suggestions on what it could be? I feel like it has something to do with shift forks, shift star or something In that nature. I really appreciate the help in advance!!

Start by checking external shift mechinism under clutch cover. Then pull shift shaft and check for straightness.
