Air filter/air box question, removing box

I have a full fatty exhaust fmf called for a 260 main, 32.5 pilot, and remove snorkel, I was wanting to cut the air box out and use a k&n or something similar right off the carb, will i need to jet bigger or do u not recommend this!

dont do that.
just take ur air box lid off.

dont get a pod filter that goes right on the carb until you get a bigger carb.. ul be kicking urself in the ass in a couple months when you want a bigger carb and you already paid for a pod filter... plus pod filters suck alota dirt, i was going to get one and i have big bore 240 and 34mm carb bla bla all big sh*t and i use stock air boot and filter cuz they are the best at keeping ur atv from getting dirt inside..
trust me on this one, k&n and twin air let in more air, but how do u think they do it?

make the filter thinner is what they do and that lets dirt innnnn

+.2 hp and have to rebuild your top end plus boring every 2 months f*ckk that thats a good 600$ a year

yeah i wouldnt do that either to much dirt u will be cleanin it every couple hours

Sounds good then just remove the lid, should i vent it?

just take whole lid off of air box it will get the air it needs

I have my air box lid off, but have a 1x3 inch whole along the top so a little more air can get it, doesnt do much, but i havent had any problems
