Redoing it for my son's friend. Because of sitting in pieces, the slide needle got bent.
Anyone have experience with these Monsters as to wether other than the stock needle being used?
Reason being is that the piston was pitted. Owner says it was from coolant leak which I doubt. Unfortunately it was already in pieces so couldn't do leakdown test.

Heck, I don't even know what pipe it has, all the pieces of the puzzle haven't shown up yet.
 
Well parts/pieces been showing up , including the wrong manual :( :mad: still another week until cylinder is done.
Then the fun begins. Still have to clean outside of engine and frame.
Ends up being a near complete restoration. Clean, sand, paint the frame and engine.
