Can you take pics of how you mounted the YFZ 450 rear. Isn't a little long how much did it lift your 4 wheeler?

Not trying to pee on someones thread, not those shocks are valved and sprung for that madle of ATV, best bet watch flea bay for a set works at a fair price and have them valved to yoru riding, neat thing about works you can up grade as yoru cash permits add rezzie later, for teh rear I was ticked off at 500 to 600 for a rear shock also, stock is junk! I chated with Wayne at PEP, and Todd at TCS now Race Tech, I desided to get a Raptor 660R with Rezzie (older type) fits like a glove, was 65 bucks shipped, and had it revaleved and new spring for 125 lbs (Over Kill) for my daughters Blaster, rides like Glass over the whoops that cost was 325 but remember that was modified to bolt in fit re valeved and spring, think the biggest head ache was ordering a shoulder bolt to fit from Mc Master Carr

i cant get pictures, but really after the mods i made it just bolted right in. what i did was cut about 1.5" of metal off the lower mounting bracket, and drilled new holes to mount the bolt. then i took it to a shop and had them compress the spring all the way down. that made it about 3" shorter. with all that it made the shock about only 2 inches longer then stock. maybe a little more. a few people on this forum (fabb_3 and Outlawed Genetics) have done it after me and had noe problems with the install.
As far as the YFZ shock not being for a blaster. i can tell you right now my banshee front shocks, and yfz shocks cost me under $50.00 all shipped to my door. Alot cheaper then you can find any set of Elkas or Works shocks.

um the rear im not sure. i think its shorter. i never looked into it. your gonna need to find the overall length of the shock. and for the front you will need to get a shock conversion, or aftermarket a-arms.

yeah I just got the stock one out and the raptor is shorter well that was a waste of money. time to look on ebay for the right ones now. I didnt order fronts from the raptor. Well if anyone want a 2001 raptor rear shock thats in good condition tell me what you have and Ill trade or 10 bucks plus shipping.
