I went with the package deal. (new head/jug/piston/rings etc) (minus the pipe/silencer as i have pro circuit combo now) 38mm carb, aggressive trail port. am pretty sure i'll notice the difference in power. but you know how that goes. lol. thanks for the advice. going to order up that adapter...

thanks for the tip. kinda doin my knowledge upspin on things now. tis been a learning experience...considering my quad has been broke down more than it's run. (mostly due to my lack of motivation to dig into it) lol. basically..what i'm hearing here is ...get the ct kit...then send it off...

    Big Bore Kits?

i've been eyeballing the ct racing setup for a while now. bout a month ago i did a simple top end rebuild. honed it just a touch and new piston/rings/wristpin/bearing. did the break in on it and after 8ish hours of actual riding the compression is already gone. no biggie...it just pushed me...

    Big Bore Kits?

Well I'm in the market for a big bore kit. I've done some looking around, pricing..etc. i suppose my main purpose for going big bore is just the desire for power. 1. Which companies are out there that make not just a good...big bore modification, but a wonderfully done product. Trinity...

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

all is well with the blasty. ran it this weekend kinda hard. It ran beautifully. (minus the stupid stock brakes which i cleaned up perfectly...but that's another issue) the v3 reeds made a great difference in throttle response! (the stock reeds looked okay...but one of them wasn't sealing...

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

lots of questions folks. i am greatful for the advice and sharpshooting. it's a learning process all in all. i don't mind learning by error, hopefully i can glean info here for some do's/don'ts. i suppose i did change the bore slightly. i can't be much more than 66.5mm if that. kinda been...

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

Yea...have to pull the carb apart and ensure the pilot jet is clean and clear. it won't idle at all right now even after 15min warm-up. (it did before, but only after warmed up) to maintain an idle w/o managing the throttle i open the choke just a wee bit and it will idle. 32/1, 100oct...

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

it wasn't running when i pulled it apart. died a couple weeks ago..and finally got all the parts together. put it back together tonight... i honed it only, that smoothed it out very nicely, decent crosshatch pattern, put it all back together and she fired and ran on first kick. checked the...

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

yay, just what i didn't want to hear. lol. have a 66mm piston and such ready to go. but i'll get it measured and see what they say...since i don't have a bore measurement tool. Just not sure of a shop around here. We have a Honda Dealer in town..but not sure if they do that sort of work.

Does this cylinder need bored? (pic)

took the head off today and sure enough it looks like the exhaust side of the piston head melted slightly and left some material on the cylinder wall. i didn't see any score marks or cracks in the cylinder. I have a cylinder hone, will running that through the cylinder to remove the material...

New (to me) 02 blaster troubleshooting ?'s

fixing to open the head up...and i noticed a lil oil spot under the quad. looks like it's leaking from where the shift lever goes into the housing. might i need a new seal there? i believe i have one on order...but have to wait (tuesday i think) i'm really starting to consider just a full tear...

New (to me) 02 blaster troubleshooting ?'s

Right on...thanks for the advice. I will know more when i open it up, but at least i have a 260 main jet. i'll toy with the needle? i haven't looked but there are notches i can set the needle at? hopefully no scoring, otherwise i'll have to order a diff size piston. i've thought about...

Hey everyone...great forum great info! 02 blaster, with what looks to be a pro circuit exhaust and silencer are the only mods i can see. running 100oct fuel. new plug+wire It had trouble early on with smooth throttle response, so i cleaned up the carb and that helped but didn't resolve the...
