    Why???

Ok cool :) Well then my piston is too small :P Actually it ran great, was just going down the road and lost compression and died. Had to push it home lol. It's a brand new piston, however both the old ones were scarred in the exact same places, the exhaust side. Which is the side thats...

    Why???

I honed it. And I put oil in and just worked it up and down, but forgot to put it on the walls before actually putting the piston in

    Why???

Ok so last fall I bought a 2002 blaster, ran great for a few days, then died. Rebuilt the top end, worked great for 30min then died again.. same problem. Piston scarring up on the exhaust side. So i let it sit over the winter because i didnt have a garage. Just got moved into my new house with a...

    Couple blaster issues

So the only oil that lubricates the cylinder is from the fuel? I don't know alot about engines, didn't know what it was. I premix it 40:1 I bought it bored so I'm not sure. Its .040 over i believe. The size is 67mm. I honed it myself last time to remove the scars, which weren't deep at all...

    Couple blaster issues

Yes. I mix 40:1 usually. My dad says the oil already in there should be changed because its most likely got some grit or something in it. Near the top of the cylinder it was just scraped off. Which really would have been on except it scraped the rings even with the piston so it was just easier...

    Couple blaster issues

Aight so here's what happened. I opened up the carb and it all looked good. Put it all back on and the gas flow problem stopped. Guess something was stuck. I took off the head to check the cylinder (it was on right :P) and then put it back on tested compression (fine) and spark plug (fine) I...

    Couple blaster issues

I didn't have a chance to hit the gas when it started. It was literally 1 second lol. Yeah its cold weather here still. in the 20s. I'm going full choke and not hitting the gas when i try to. It ran before the hone, but the reason I had to hone it was something had gotten in the cylinder and...

    Couple blaster issues

I had to hone out my cylinder and put in a new piston. So i got it all back together the other night. Anyway, I don't have a garage to keep it in, so its been outside in the cold (under a tarp) but I think maybe some water got in somewhere and froze up. I can't get it started. It has compression...

Make your own ATV Lift ( This is the cats ass )

Well you wouldn't have to worry about weight. Stability side to side should be fine with the plates, but front to back would be wobbly I would think. (I'm thinking you meant lifting the whole bike and not just the front?)

    Piston Size?

I bought a blaster not too long ago. The ring broke and scarred up the cylinder. Not too bad, I suppose but the slot where the ring is supposed to go on the piston is all flush. It scraped the ring and piston together at that point. Anyway, I'll probably have to bore the cylinder. Will I need a...
