    Stock blasty Chain length?

The length your going to need will depend on your gearing. The best advice would be to buy one on the long side, adjust your tensioner screws all the way out and cut off what you don't need on the chain. Once you ride it for a bit the chain will stretch and you can readjust it.

horrible snow riding need tire advise...

Yea, 15 inches of snow is really pushing the limit of a 2 wheel drive quad. Your going to need at least 22" tires. If your expecting to ride in deep snow all winter go with mud/snow tires! The blackwaters or mud lights are a good choice. If you plan on riding in between storms when there is only...

horrible snow riding need tire advise...

First off I have experience with a lot of snow riding. 18 inch tires are waay too small. Not only will you get less traction with small tires but your skid plate is going to drag and prevent your tires from making contact. Your going to need at LEAST 20 or 21's but I would recommend 22's. I have...

    Sidewall Height?

I am curious what sidewall height you guys are running on the rear? Here is my problem. The holeshots that I have found come in 20 or 22 instead of the stock 21 Height. I had this same issue on my 400ex and ordered an inch larger rear tire (22) and had a bunch of problems. After install the quad...

    Rear Axle/Carrier Bearing Install?

Thanks. I also had a problem taking off the rear rotor bolts. I had my HD impact gun on it and they would not budge. I had to heat up the back of them with a mapp gas torch. I had the pressure turned down on the impact gun but still managed to strip one of the nuts and had to cut it out with my...

    Rear Axle/Carrier Bearing Install?

Will do. I bent the nut, the threads on the axle are fine. I am using a banger hammer. I figured if that cannot knock it loose how is a rubber one going to? =))

    Rear Axle/Carrier Bearing Install?

That's what I did. I ended up completely bending and ruining the nut and it's still held solid. I was pounding on the spindle but I was afraid I was going to break it too. :(

    Rear Axle/Carrier Bearing Install?

Does the gear spindle just slide over the nut threads or is it threaded on too? I banged on the spindle and its not moving or coming loose, I don't know whats holding it.

    Bad Vibrations?

I have not owned a 2 stroke in awhile but my Blaster seems to vibrate alot more then normal. I can feel it in the foot pegs pretty bad. Is this normal? What could cause this? The engine mounts appear to be tight upon visual inspection. The motor has good compression and runs good. :(

How to identify stock vs aftermarket reeds?

I got a blaster that already had some mods to it and I wanted to get reeds but im not sure how to tell the difference between stock and aftermarket reeds that I have now. I noticed they had a plastic door on them unlike some other reeds I have seen. How do I know if they are stock or not?

    Best Light Weight Mud/Snow Tires?

That may be the case but im usually willing to take that risk. You see heavier 6 and up ply tires take a lot of power to spin when compared to something light like a 2 ply. Especially on a two stroke you don't have the low end to lug them around. I remember when I had a 400ex I went from 2 ply...

    Best Light Weight Mud/Snow Tires?

They are good in the snow when you compair them to the weight advantages. I have used them before with good results. Have you ever seen the XTC versions? They use extra tall knobs that work great in mud and snow (not as great as real snow tires) but they only offer them in thick ply. The...

    What did I break?

Okay so I got off to a really ruff start. Just bought a 2003 blaster, took out the reeds & carb to clean. I am almost positive I put everything back together right (have done this on other bikes many times) It backfires and sputters if I give it gas. Compression is good. How should I...
