That looked bad! Mine sounded similar but once the top end was off it was smoothe again! Luckily my rod has very little movement!

Should I rebuild bottom end as well?

Is there a place you would recommend on buying a kit? And do I need to port and polish the head and get new piston?

Gear oil also has strong fuel smell to it. Not sure if that's normal. The oil injection system was disconnected and was pre mixing 12.3 oz to 5 gal of fuel in tank like the previous owner was.

Pulled the top end apart had no oil in manifold piston had a lot of carbon buildup and some blow by. Also noticed some blueing where shaft meets top deal center!

Just did the compression test and it was 75psi! Not good
