    high octane gas

Anyone that uses high octane is doing it to prevent pre-ignition because pre-ignition does not allow the engine to make it's maximum horsepower. So they run high octane to prevent pre-ignition thereby hopefully making maximum horsepower.

Will Start with starting fluid then dies

It's not getting fuel, but the question is why not? Did you get all the crud out of the carb when you installed the rebuild kit? The seat is totally clean? Did you install the new needle? Also, sometimes it's the obvious stuff like did you turn on the fuel valve? Pull the fuel line off the carb...

    Runaway idle

I agree with steve150xc. Atv's and dirtbikes are toys for having fun and you can have fun on a stock blaster. Where I live the trails are 50 or less inches, tight and twisty, and so you can't utilize a lot of hp anyways. Just go out and rock that stock machine and have a blast.

Why would blaster rev out of control

Blaner I like your technical answer but you left me with a few questions Why are you threatening my future here at the Blaster forums? Whose Blaster idle's at 500-1000rpm's What should the o.p. do if he doesn't find an air leak?

Why would blaster rev out of control

I would like to hear a detailed theory from some of u who concluded that an airleak could have caused an extreme revving of the engine?? If an airleak can cause a hanging idle, then what is it that determines whether the air leak will cause a slight increase in rpm such as a hanging idle, versus...
