Hello blasterforum members, im looking for opinions on how i should go about rebuilding a sx125 top end. I know that the cylinder is plated and sometimes needs to be replated if excessive damage occurs. My question(possibly for Ken O Connor himself:)) should I replate the cylinder or not. Ive...

    Blasters won't start first kick

So I've been trying to tune in my blasters but both of them won't start first kick. One has brand new rings, 100+ compression and the other one is fully rebuilt. I'm leaning towards a carb issue because before i tor it apart it would always start first kick with 80psi. This all started happening...

    NEED HELP ASAP

My crank threads stripped when I was trying to pull the crank in. It also took the nut with it. I tried cutting a good nut in half, M12 x 1.25 and putting vise grips on it. That didn't do anything but strip my nut. I am now attempting to grind it down. This is a major setback. Please help

    Need opinions with jetting

So as some of you guys know I'm doing a rebuild on the blasty. It has a pro circuit pipe, dg silencer, open air box with uni filter, and Vito's reeds. When it was still running I went to my local Yamaha dealer and they gave me a 260 main and a 40 pilot. I thought it was a bit odd. Also I'm in...

    Blaster Rebuild

So I have some new parts that came in including Wiseco piston 66.50mm, new red chain and sprockets, and front / rear tires. I also did a start up of both blasters before they get rebuilt. I'm keeping the special edition and selling the 2002 once I find a black nose cone. Thanks

    Need Advice On Used Crank

Hey guys I'm looking at a crank on eBay, it's used and its in "good" condition. They say the big end clearance is around .50mm which is still in spec. It was $100 and I offered $75. Do you guys think it's worth it? I don't want to spend money and find out its junk. Here's the link...

    Homemade Oil Injection Block Off

Hey guys thought Id share my recently made oil block off plate. It started out as a 3D Autodesk Inventor drawing. After that I 3D printed it out of polymer plastic (white one in the photo). Then I had it machined out of a block of aluminum. The product still needs to be sanded down a bit more...

    Hole in Rear plastics

Hi guys I'm rebuilding 1 of my blasters and I think I should really fix the hole in the back plastics. The hole is around the intake mount that's connected to the filter, so I'm afraid it will dry in excessive air causing it to lean out. Do you guys have any suggestions of how I can go about...

    Clutch Problems

Hey guys and gals so I've been messing around with my other blaster and have finally got the urge to fix the clutch. Riding without it isn't as fun. So I crack it open thinking the plates were stuck since its been sitting for 6 years or the ball welded itself. I take it all apart and notice that...
