    Strange Ball while doing rebuild,

the ball welds itself to the end of the rod from coaqsting at high speed with the clutch pulled in for extended periods. This happens alot at the local dunes when riders climb a huge mountain and coast back down with the clutch pulled in. I have a collection of those little balls welded to...

    Cant get push rod out

yes, that is fine. The only time there is a difference in the speed of those two rods rotation is when the clutch is pulled and the bike is moving. Coming to a stop it was designed to withstand, coasting down a hill at high speed not what it was designed for.

    Cant get push rod out

Sorry I should have made it more clear, we have a lot of dune riders here that will ride to the top of Sand Mountain and then coast down with the clutch in at 50 mph and weld the rod and bearing together, I have a collection of rods with balls in the end of them from bikes I have rebuilt...

    Cant get push rod out

take a pair of vice grips and clamp down hard on the rod and use the weight of the gearset and shaft as a slide hammer to pull the rod out. I have had 2 or 3 of the motors I have built with this problem. At some point your bike has been coasted with the clutch pulled in and has caused the ball...

    Yamaha 340 Enticer?

That thing looks like a hell of a lot of fun. I have the 340 Exciter motor in a sled, the vintage sled guy I get my stuff from and he agrees that the injection systems are pretty bullet proof.

    clutch plates frying

need more specifics, did he replace just the organic plates and did he beadblast the steel plates? Did he replace springs which may be weak? and check the basket and make sure the vertical edges of the grooves the plates slide into are free of notching which I have had cause a clutch to not...

    blaster running poorly

Check and make sure you have good fuel flow to the bowl of the carb. Check the petcock and the needle and seat, if flow is slow it could be starving and refilling very slowly.

    Blaster wont start

I am not trying to be disagreeable, but my money would be on an airleak or your airbleed screw was way off after working on your carb causing a lean burn condition and that the rind damage was due to the 30 seconds of run time at extreme RPM and lean condition. It does not take long to take...

    flywheel removed

for me the 15 bucks for the tool was worth the price, to risk messing up a crank or that nut it's not worth it to me. Besides then you have the tool for the next time, and if you own two strokes you will be rebuilding them.

I JUST HAD THE FREAKIEST THING EVER! HELP

it is called lean burn detonation. the best way to kill it is simply turn of the ignition and give it wide open throttle, it brings the mixture back to a correct level and will not sustain itself in the lean burn condition. We have experienced the same thing and had it happen on the trail...

    T.O.R.S

Sorry to use big words Blasterboy, but even with a stock carb the TORS will not affect fuel flow in any way. it is a system that checks to see that the carb and throttle are both either open or closed. If either one is open when the other is closed it cuts spark. Nothing more, nothing less...

    T.O.R.S

Unstock240, there is no way on this earth that the TORS was limiting fuel on your bike. I am not trying to start anything, but the propagation of misinformation does nobody any good.

    Warrior Front Brakes on Blasty?

Anybody know if it would be possible to put warrior front spindles onto a Blaster? I have been looking at a parts warrior, and the front is complete. Did not see any real problem when I looked at my blasters and my warriors side by side. Anybody please let me know
