My local shop only had a 260 in stock. I'm going to try that when the carb kit comes in. And order the rest of the jets over the weekend. I did splice both ends if the tors system. Throttle side and carb side.

I am going to wait for the carb kit to come in Friday but at the same time..you think I need to go from a 230 to a 270?? Air filter shouldn't make a difference as it's similar to stock. Just oiled foam. So let's say up a size bc of premix. Then up a size for silencer and port? So 250?

Really? I have heard from others that stock jet would be fine. The stock pipe is holding me back I know but I want to get it running before I start any more mods. The port needs that much more fuel? How can I distinguish between lean vs flooded engine without plug chop? I can't rev up obv.

I spliced the black and yellow wires that lead to the cdi box together, I also tried leaving them unplugged and I tried grounding the green wire off the stator. plus all possible combinations of this as well.. screw on carb is 1.5 out. I havent measured the float but I bought a new carb kit...

So I swapped out the stator, flywheel, coil, and cdi from a known working bike and its still doing the same thing. It started not to start well after a few days of experimenting so a new plug went in and now it starts and idles first kick. but still wont rev. Im leaning towards improper float...

Flywheel key was fine. Checked yesterday. Gonna hope its an electrical issue that will be solved by the new parts on the way.

Would I be able to tell without taking the flywheel off?? Like by just removing the cover?

So I just bought a complete electrical system off ebay from a running 03 blaster so I'm gonna hopefully get it this weekend and see what's up. Came w stator, flywheel, coil, Cdi and wiring harness! 113$ not bad.

Ya I've seen videos of other people's blasters w tors issues doing the same but idk what else to do. I cut the wires in the main harness and have them twisted together. Could the Cdi be bad? I did check the piston window when I took the reed cage off.

The reeds look ok. They are vitos dual stage carbon reeds but they were sitting out of the bike for a few months. In my back seat rolling around a bit so maybe they were damaged in the mean time. I just don't want to be chasing all different problems and throwing all sorts of money at this if I...

I did follow the 03+ tors removal. I spliced the wires in the main harness together on each end (throttle and carb). I was uncertain about the emergency brake removal. Weather or not that needed splicing.

What's the test going to show exactly?

I made a leak tester for a friend a while ago and it was leaking from the tester very slowly. But I sprayed all around and saw no leaks. The pressure held well for a few minutes around 5-6psi even with the the small leak in the tester.
