Ok I took it down and had it measured came out to 2.674 which is pretty much 68mm like we thought. 2.677 is 68mm. So that being said these rings is what I need, correct? YAMAHA BLASTER YFS 200 PISTON RINGS 68mm *.080 OVER* | eBay

Yah I figure the 68.0 is 68mm bore I lied about having calipers I must have sold them with the rest of my machining tools, I will have to take the piston down to my buddys machine shop and have him mic it.

Ok guys after wipeing the dirt off my jug someone carved "god 68.0" right below the cylinder. Does this mean anything to you guys?

If by trenched case you mean the transfer ports being ground out then no it doesn't look like it. What would be the size of the stock piston I have a set of good starrett dial calipers I could check it with I sold all my micrometers a while back. Thanks guys.

k guys so I am putting new rings in my blaster and I just tore it apart. I am just wanting to make sure everything is still stock so I buy the right rings. The rod says "Hot Rods" on the one side and c.k. 144 on the other side. The inside of the piston says "Art 52 37F01 Made In Japan" are these...

So where should I take it to get it honed do you think my local NAPA would do it? I know they do car cylinders

Well I am going to put a new piston and rings in the ole' blasty and I was looking and all I can find is overbore rings. I am guessing with the overbore rings you have to hone your cylinder, correct? If so is there an easy it yourself way, thanks!

As they said move the throttle needle clip up. Mine did something similar and the issue was my reeds had a chunk missing which I am sure you double checked them....

I just change jets until it feels good to me. I never check the plug unless it is running real crapy. A little lean isant going to hurt it as long as it runs good! "LEAN IS MEAN!"

lasting 5 races doesnt sound to reliable to me! Split the case make sure everything looks good and vitos kit that thing! Why do you have to send it out to get it fixed? If you can tear it apart you can put it back together.

What is the best oil to run in the bottom end of my blaster? I just bought the bike and the bottom end is bone dry. I have some valvoline 10w30 motorcycle oil (designed for wet clutches) do you guys think this will do well in there? THANKS!

I am new to atvs and I recently bought a blaster. I need to get some new rear tires. The only riding I do is trails and some mud. Pretty much I need a good all around tire. It kind of worries me when I look at tires because I dont want to spend alot of money on tires that only last a few rides...
