picked up another blaster today I believe it is an 06? Could be wrong that’s what my buddy said though, is there a way to check? Anyway picked it up for $350 because the top end blew the last time we went riding together about 2 months ago it has been sitting since and he decided to sell it me ..so it has nerf bars and renthal handlebars that are bent ,stock exhaust no baffle tip, rear caliper doesn’t work bleeder valve snapped off ,air filter quite dirty ,cracked taillight (he stopped short once and I hit him lol) headlight completely gone tires pretty much gone just like my other blaster lol

So looks like I have some work to do but should be fun need to deffinatly order some parts this week :D

Will post pictures tomorow

Thanks mark determined it actually is an 03 but hey doesn’t matter to me here are some pics of the quad can’t wait to get it cleaned up and torn apart

Just got wiseco stock top end kit ordered along with carb rebuild kit and new air filter :) discussing buying headlight with blasterbrian and still searching for rear caliper

Been meaning to update this thread haven’t torn it down yet because it’s been freezing in NY ended up going with cheap eBay caliper and filter just to get it running then will search for oem caliper and buy k&n filter thanks to awk for the leakdown tester ... also realized the moose carb kit I have says 88-95 but all stock carbs for blasters are the same correct?

So I’m stuck fellas I assumed when me and my friend went riding that day and the blaster died that it was the top end I never really gave it a full look over ..finally .took exhaust off today looked at piston and rings they are perfectly fine no burns cracks dents nothing...the kicker still has great compression too so I checked for spark and there’s the problem there is no spark...what would it be coil? CDI? Flywheel magneto or stator? I’m not really sure where to even look the way I checked spark was holding the plug against the frame and kicking and saw nothing

Finally got outside yesterday been super cold in NY yesterday was 70 degrees and today it snowed go figure lol anyways swapped out coil and on off switch from my runnin blaster and neither one of those gave the bike spark next couple of days I’m going to try stator and or the ignition switch

Finally got outside again today to work on this project blaster read this old post http://www.blasterforum.com/threads/stator-testing.40352/

And after testing my stator it was putting out 88 ohms that would explain why the bike won’t start lol found a nice used low hour oem flywheel and stator combo on eBay they look 8/10 condition going to get that ordered tomorow. between my last post and now though I got the carb kit installed, new taillight lens, headlight assembly, chain and sprocket, clutch lever and caliper with new pads installed only thing left is air filter and I figure since I already purchased a new top end kit I might as well pull that apart and rebuild that too and have myself a fresh blaster :)
