Is there anything “special” about the Special Edition plastics? I mean it’s just purple flames. Would I be committing a Blaster sin by removing and replacing them? Didn’t know if they might be worth something to someone.

Ive only seen them in 2006 in canada id check your rear shock if its stock will have a date on it

Ok, I’ll check it when I get back to the house. If anyone thinks they’re special, I’ll sell them. Only piece missing is the hood. I’m doing an mx build and didn’t want to ruin anything people may want.

Couldn’t find the year on the shock, but I did find the VIN on the frame. Checking the VIN says it’s an 06. So score for me. It’s newer than I thought. Now the real question, are the plastics special or not?

Not really i dont think, not to mee atleast prob just yamaha adding flames to add a few bucks

it was a stealth black quad which made it special. FRAME ,RIMS, PLASTIC'S ECT:D
so it was the color scheme that made it into the category of special addition.
Plus the graphics all just for looks really:)

Lmfao i didnt even realize that, would be pretty sweet if they didnt sell paint lololol jk really stupid they change few colors and call it special edition wonder how much more they charge lol

Ok, I just didn’t want to tick off the Blaster gods if I remove the purple flames, replace the front with a Maier race hood, and in general screw up the “special” part of it.

Considering the decals probably are pricey OEM, unless they are mint probably couldn't sell for enough to buy new Maier plastic. I personally like that combo ! Were you closer I'd consider making an offer.
If weren't for the fact I'm putting a Banshee together I'd be looking at black carbon fiber with white VF scoop on race hood/fenders.
Only good set I have is yammy blue, which I really don't like.

Decals are in amazing shape. Few scuff marks but nothing that won’t wash off or rub out. Nothing is actually scratched. So if anyone does want the plastics. Let me know. Also, I drive a Semi for a living and travel through W. Va, Va, Md, Pa, Nj, Ny, and Ct. If you live remotely near anyone of these states, I could possibly meet you anywhere I can fit a Semi. Walmart parking lots work best. Unless you want to meet at a truck stop.
