Hi all not sure if anybody has any experience of Yamaha wr200 but if you have anything would be greatly appreciated as I'm having trouble figuring out why it is running so rich and oily ! It has a new air filter. New fmf system. New reeds. New floats and float valve. And a new main jet. Iv tryed changing the main jet and the throttle needle clip position and neither of these made it better and it still would not idle for more than a couple of seconds. Anything less than 1/3 throttle and it splutters. Above 1/3 throttle its fine. Speedyslyder thanks for your opinion I appreciate it. Il check to see if the oil im useing is Ok for oil injection And Il try the hotter plug too as I have loads for the blaster. I have just noticed that the pilot jet is stripped !! Is that Easy to remove ? I have new ones but not sure of the best way to get the old one out ?? Could this be the problem

Yes it is a 92 wr200. Wow that is an expensive carb !! Does anybody know why the coolant feeds through the carb ? thanks again speedyslyder.

maybe try a different screw drive to get the pilot out?
depends on how it is stripped
general speaking you need a small flat head on all carbs to reach the pilot jet lol
i use this 1...

Hi speedyslyder sorry to be a pain in the ass but please could you repost the link you posted for me the other day for genuine wr200 carb. I can't find it lol I'm considering buying a new carb for peace of mind

By the way I replaced the pilot jet in the blaster and it did have a #32.5 for some reason. I put a #35 in and problem solved. No more splutter on low revs and it pulls really well now. No more frantic gear changing on trails. I'm really impressed with this airsal 225 BBC. TBH I never though the torque spacer would change the blasters characteristics that much but after rejetting it has made a big difference !

the link only brings you to like a home pg for rockymountain site but read this pic it shows how to search kinda at top of photo:)

also that carb on your blaster is not a stock carb sooooooo??
i can tell from your picture/also you mentioned it lol:)

that is not the stock carb on your blaster soooo who knows how much fuel is running through it:)
but if you got it working better great.
i can tell by your pic under your "media" that it is not a stock mikuni carb:D

In that pic it has a mikuni vm series 28mm but after playing around with it for a couple days I couldn't get that carb to run very good on the blaster so I swapped back to the stock 26mm and that's what iv been running with a 320 main jet and now a 35 pilot and needle on the middle clip. Thanks for posting that link again il save that now. I have found my way around the site and it is very expensive for a complete new carb. Unfortunately a tm30ss carb is not easy to find at all ! Iv found another site called motorsport.com that have all oem parts for a bit cheaper but still a lot of money. If anybody knows were to find a mikuni tm30ss carb other than these sites it would be much appreciated

Plenty of TM30's on EBay.....most are overseas but, you can try Sudco International in California.....you might want to go to a TM32....those are more common and easy to find.....an aftermarket TM30 should be baselines with factory jetting but, it looks like a FMF fatty pipe is on your bike....you'll need to richen up jetting....if you get too frustrated....Ill take that WR200 off your hands.....I'm looking for one right now.....there were only a couple of hundred imported into the states.

This one was imported from Japan. I have been looking on motorsport site and talking to one of the guys there and that tm30 they stock isn't the carb for my bike. My wr200 is a 1995 and has a tm30ss which has two coolant pipes connected to it. The tm30 doesn't have these connections.
