I don"t know???????
Im trying to come up with a affordable universal frame guard!

The 1st problem is that there is 3 different Blaster frames.
The 88 frame with no heel guard mounts.
The 89-02 frame with heel guard mounts and BAD OLD CRAP brakes.
The 03-06 flame with heel guard mounts and hydraulic brakes.

2nd problem is all the modified frames.
The frames with added gussets.
The 89-02 frames modded for hydraulic brakes.

The added frame gussets makes it difficult to make a mount to hold the guards on.
I have a 1994 frame that i modded for hydraulic brakes, so i dont know what i have to do to get the brake side frame guard to fit a 03-06 flame!

So im trying to make a frame guard that you can mount your self!!! And hell on the 88 frame for now! lol

The 1st step to mount it your self is that you will have to hold your frame guard in place and mark it on the back through the heel guard mounting hole. Then drill hole out, and bolt in place.

2nd step is getting something like conduit clamps. That is what i used. Grind, cut, or bend them to fit where you want them. Just make them work!!

3rd step is that you may have to do some trimming to make it fit your 03-06 flame, because i dont have that frame!

Here are some pic of my concept! They are 16 ga aluminum.

Nice work dude. If you need any info or measurements I have a 03-06 flame.

Would love to get a sit and mount them. I would be installing them on a frame with the brake light switch brake removed and a gusset in the frame. Also on the other side I have removed the steel channel part that the oil injector tube went in and installed gusset.

Will reply to your PM now.

Drilled the holes!

The modded conduit clamps i used on my old guards will work on the new ones!

I use 3M double sided tape to hold the modded conduit clamps in place!

Trying to get the right side to fit, as you can see in pic the frame guard is hitting my master cylinder guard, and wont sit flat. So im going to cut some off!

Using the old wiss hand snips, i cut it down.

Did some more fine trimming.

I made the frame guards with 6" of straight tying to cover as much as possible. BUT the frame underneath is not straight, only the top and bottom of the guard touch the frame. The middle does not.

Looking good dude and I like that master cylinder guard.

I would end up mounting mine so they are not touching the frame. Did it on my CR125 I had. Just but some washer in the middle of the frame guard and the mounts. Also thinking about just putting a couple of welded tabs on the frame with a hole in them that I can mount the frame guards on to the blaster as the frames in the middle of getting welding done on it and will not be getting it powered to later in year.

Ended up trimming a little more off the brake side guard and making a cover for the rear master cylinder.
