Hello everyone, I have been lurking for a while now and picked up my first blaster earlier this week and decided that it is time to stop lurking and start posting. I'll try to get some pictures up after I clean it. It's a little dirty right now. A little about myself I work at a autoparts store. I am a Volunteer Firefighter. I collect vintage zippos (Firefighter that collects lighters I know) and love three wheelers. I have 7 ranging from an ATC 70 up to a ATC 250R that I am restoreing. I no longer have a yamaha trike. Though I did have a tri zinger for a while. I have always loved two strokes and though I am a Honda guy at heart. I have always loved blasters. I'm sure I'll ask some dumb questions because I'm not as familiar with yamahas but I hope to assist people also. Anyway hello everyone I'm very happy to be here.

Welcome to the forum. I have a ATC 70 and a Trimoto 200 under construction. You'll enjoy your blaster, the are great machines to ride and play with.

Thank you for the warm welcome everybody.

There's something about trikes that just draws me to them. At first I was just a guy that wanted to ride with very little money. Now that I've ridden them I can't get them out of my system. Nothing rides like a trike. I can't see myself ever not having one. I can't wait to get this 250R together got a long road ahead of me though. And I already have a list of things that I want/need to do to the blaster. It's hard to pick which one to work on. I think the blaster will get attention first just because it is so close to being trail ready. Needa work on the warrior too. If only I had more time...

Welcome aboard Mr. Zippo!

Now I'm upset with myself for not making that my username.

Thank you, speedyslyder And 79 bronco. Seems like a real nice group of people here. I have Been a part of fourms that were pretty hostile at times and that gets old. Everyone seems nice knowledgeable and helpfull. Agian I'm glad to be here.
It looks like I may have a sickness because I just bought another blaster. It's a pre 2003 and when I was talking to the guy I thought I might have been able to fix it for a reasonable price. But it's clearly a parts bike. It's OK I needed a couple things for my other blaster and for $100 I couldn't pass it up.

Finally got a chance to wrench on the blaster and get some pictures. She's still dirty but it's alot better than before. Got a new clutch lever, clutch cable, brake lever, oiled uni filter and some grips installed. I have a tors delete kit and a oil injection delete kit on the way and I already got some front fenders to install. Eventually I would like to get a aftermarket pipe on it preferably fmf and get a spare jug off to ken oconnor racing to be bored and honed Maybe even ported. It currently has a cheap ebay top end on it and I'm honestly afraid to run it. As soon as I get my next pay check in it'll be off to ken. Should I get the head shaved a little? I would like to keep it on pump gas but wouldn't mind a lititle more power while I already have it apart. This will be a trail machine when I'm done so I don't need anything to radical. Any opnion on what way to go? I'm holding out on the leak down test untill I get a good top end on it.

Hello again everyone, I just wanted to give an update on my blaster project. I'll probably start another thread on this. I don't know if its OK for me to keep adding to this one.

I was off the last two days and made some pretty good progress on the blaster. I deleted the tors and added the vitos kit to it. While I was at it I got the carb apart And did a thorough cleaning. I'm glad I did a jet was partial blocked and the emulsion tube had a few ports blocked. I also pulled the side cover and put a oil pump block off plate in. Put in fresh trans oil. Put a new set of bars on because the old ones were bent. I put on a PRM grab bar because it didn't have a grab bar when I bought it. Drained the fuel tank and filled it with fresh premix (32:1). Installed new boyesen reeds and a boyesen reed cage that came with my parts blaster. Sealed the leaky exhaust and put a good silencer on. The old silencer was broke in 3 places and held on with hose clamps. I removed all the oil injection parts and caped the carb. I also recovered the seat the foam was in rough shape and it came out a little lumpy but its fine for a rider.

It started second kick and idled great not erratic like before. I go to take off and proceed to fog out my neighborhood with burning trans oil. I can't do anything but laugh at my misfortune at this point. I'll order some crank seals and go through that mess on my next day off if I have the time. Here are some pictures of the blaster sporting some new parts. Funny enough it ran great other than all the white smoke. When I drained the oil it was very thin and smelled of gas so I'm thinking the previous owner knew of the problem and band-aided it to get rid of it. But all is good she will be a good runner after I spend a couple hundred more dollars.
