bad reeds=low compression?

Asking because i was in pismo riding great then my gf hopped on the quad and we went for a ride and suddenly it bogged out and would not start anymore. The spark plug was fine now my only two thoughts would be a new piston or new rings. When i tested the compression it only had about 30-40.

DO bad reeds cause low compression on a blaster?

does a broken spring on my exhaust cause low compression?

PLEASE HELP

Wouldn't be the reeds or exhaust spring.
Pull the head and check cylinder and piston rings

yeah I'm going to have too. if i do that might as well check the reeds. I was just in denial hoping it would be an easy fix lol. Lets hope its a bad ring

Could be loose head nuts allowing a leak.

When checking the compression are you doing so with the throttle wide open and kicking till the needle stops.

Don't pull it apart, wait to do a leak down test first.

Yes when performing a compression test, hold WOT, kick until gauge stops going up.
