Need a new crank

So over the weekend my blaster blew up my friend rode it for first time and kept it in 1st gear and didn't shift and then when i got on it just stalled out and the kick starter is completely locked cant turn the motor over so im Looking to just order a new crank kit but not sure where or what to even get as i just got it and dont kno much about them if someone can help id much appreciate it does anyone know if this kit is ok?http://m.ebay.com/itm/Blaster-240-B...3D291573790547&_trksid=p2056116.c100408.m2460

1st Don't let your friend ride it again.
2nd I have seen a lot of people say on here stay away from the eBay cylinder kits.

Others will be able to help more. Just saying What I have seen.
 
That's a Vito's 240 that's bored to an oversize. Not familiar with AZ, but have heard of them.
Your thread title says need new crank. Why cyl kit too?

Two things I see wrong with add.
AFAIK Vito's 240 only has stock and two overbore available. Therefore at least a third of the life is used up.
Second, misleading information, Hotrods doesn't make a 3mil crank.
Plus, I don't think it's that good of a deal, IMO.


The kits to watch out for are Niche, parts ace, ANY cyl, piston, gasket set that is less than a Wiseco piston.
Hell, there's a link on your link for a Parts Ace kit that includes a new carb !!!:rolleyes:

Next time you have a novice rider, teach them a little more about what to do.
 
I had it air leak tested before i went riding and everything was good i have a feeling the revving it up to the moon fried the crank bearings or something of those sorts because he was in first gear for over 200 feet and i couldnt get his attention i told him what to do before he took off showed him how to clutch and to shift lesson learned noone rides it again my entire weekend ruined because of it
 
Im probably just going to do my top end and just do a full rebuild anyway might as well its going to be in pieces
 
Maybe the intake skirt broke off and it is snagged in the port....???
 
I opened it up and the piston bearing exploded f*cked up my crank im hoping thats the extent of the damage im going to split the case and check but im hoping its all good already going to cost 600 dollars to repair cant afford much more
 
You should be able to replace crank, piston, wrist bearing, base gasket, oil seals, clutch case gasket, and boar to head for less than $600

I have a hot rods crank brand new never been used still in the package it came in if interested let me know. It retails for $220 but I'll take $160 plus shipping
