hey guys have an idea for blaster owners like us. The idea is to make billet or poly bolt on circular individual sprocket and rotor guards here's a pic for reference might even try making poly ones myself. Even though I have a skid plate I think these look nicer and cooler.

That looks cool, but every time you smack a rock you are putting stress right to your sprocket and hub!
It is bolted to the same bolts that holds your sprocket to your hub?

Measurements. 40 tooth sprocket.

Are Banshee's the same sprocket? If so there is a company making the guards for both the sprocket and disc.

I'm not to sure I'm anyone makes them for banshees I heard of people fabbing them for banshees. And I'm not to sure on the banshe sprocket

JDS and bling star both made them for banshees from what i can see on google and ebay. if banshee has same bolt mounting holes on sprocket.

What size sprocket you running? im on stock one so can start designing it up for stock sprockets and have it work for smaller/large tooth sprockets slso

Ok, After work tomorrow I will start drawing it up as i have the exle unit off my bike. will upload photo then.

Alright. So I'm running a 40 tooth on the rear as I found out today.

Just drawing up now. Photos of my sprocket.

Blaster use the inside holes not the counter sunk holes. you would have a hard time making a guard fit using the counter sunk holes as the chain would ride on any spacers you make for them holes so your best option is use the stock blaster mounting holes.

Remove the studs out of the sprocket hub and install longer ones or use bolts.

Quick picture of what I have so far. Green dotted line is OD of the sprocket, Blue dotted line in OD of the chain on the sprocket.

Here you go. From what I can see online they make them out of 6mm thick aluminum. Some make them out of stainless. You will need to make spacers and get longer bolts.

Yeah looks like it.

Just had a look on net and looks like blaster, warrior, raptor, banshee all use the same sprocket stud pattern to mount them.

I missed this thread, great idea, but Im not sure about the forces your and transmitting through the carrier and hubs etc when you hit a rock. Still a novel idea and a good option for those wanting to run 18's on the rear.

If you are serious about hitting rocks, these type of guards are not sufficient, rather fit a proper heavy duty skid plate. Coming from a YFZ450 backgroud, these are however very popular with the MX guys who ride on a nice predictable, dirt track who don't need heavy duty protection and just need a light-weight solution.

So it depends on your application and what type of riding you do, it should be a case of either or. From someone like me you rides their quad the way were intended to be ridden, I don't see the point of fitting both from a functional point of view. Unless of course, you are only interested in 'pimping your ride';)
