New chain

That's funny I thought that is the way it's supposed to go lol. I've had it like that for a while and never had any issues. Not that I'm worried cause I'm protected by KORs case saver ;)

facing that way, you are more likely to catch a rock, stick or clump while riding and tear it off.
its slanted the other way to easily slide over things

The chain should not ride in the bottom of the guide, it will wear it out extremely fast, the guide is to arrest sideways movement not up up and down.

That's why mine is backwards, I put it the other way and it is so close to the rear sprocket it made me nervous, also it pushed up on the chain tearing up the slider so I flipped it and works perfectly. Although Herp is right I never thought about catching a rock, it does make sense it should be the other way around for that reason. damn it now im going to spend more money to buy one of the T.M Design Works one cause it's not as long and will be able to face it the proper way.
