4mil build

Don't temp me, I just may!!:D Powder coat guy already wants to do my a arms, not sure if the springs would throw it over the top or not....may think on that one.....yea definitely gonna be easy on the throttle for the first tank or two...and after a fewheat cycles.....never can be too safe:eek:

Id think it would look sick! Especially if the shock bodies were painted black. This Blaster is already over the top so one more thing wouldn't hurt right? Either way you go it'll still look great!
Yeah you've got the right idea. Not much can go wrong as long as you pay attention and are cautious!

So who knows some baseline jetting specs for me? Got an agressive port and polish, head mod, 4mil crank, v force 4 reeds bores to 66.50....stock carb and airbox for now....got a a few mains like 320, 310, 300, and 290....I jet with airbox lid off....I am at sea level also.

looking at 320. maybe even a 330 but if you are still in the break in, you shouldnt hit the main jet too much

when you get a larger carb you will really feel the power of that pipe

I must be missing something, I tried a 320 today, 32.5 pilot 1.5 turns out on airscrew, and I could get it to stay running for a bit, but when I tried to put it in gear It wouldn't go anywhere....clutch plates sticking possibly? Or I don't have my arm lined up on the clutch.....where can I find how to do this with good pics on here?

Does mine looked lined up, or can it still not be lined up correctly? This is with me pressing it until it stops...

Yea I was just using it as leverage but when I tried to put in gear yesterday, I couldn't get it to move....what else should I look for? Not sure if it matters, but I'm mixing 112 and 93 premix, could that affect anything?

Alrighty!!! Somebody, somewhere in the country has to have a similar setup as mine....running a 4 mil stroked blaster with the stock carb... tried everything from a320 to a 270....the damn thing just keeps bogging.... seems rich..... but I cant ever get the clutch to grab anything, changed out the perch and and tried again no luck.....I am just about ready to sell this damn thing!!! Already spoke to Ken and he thinks it's a clutch adjustment....which it may be....but I am just at a loss....what else can I do????? Already took the side of the case off, watched vids, talked to my buddy who owned 9 blaster, that werr pretty much stock and we fiddled with it from 9 this morning, till 2 this afternoon, made some progress on throttle response, and eliminated safety switches as an issue.....sorry for the ramble, this is my thought process....last time I started it today, it sounded real pingy, and loud and had the 290 in it at the time....I didn't feel safe with the sound so I cut it off....input??

looks off to me, should be aligned better.............

Today I got it lined up straight now, but still it bogs out when I let the clutch out, and I got nowhere....I had a buddy of mine look at it too.....both of us are lost on this...

has the clutch ever been apart, like basket and the washers off ?
maybe the washers got mixed up ?

and i remember another problem thread that the washer behind the basket was actually too thin and had the basket/pressure plate operation all fubar'd

whats the actuator look like down where the rod contacts it ?
if a divot has formed it will not work good

Well i had Ken put in a whole new clutch kit....Until today, no... I pulled the clutch basket and unstacked 7 friction, and 6 metal plates, all back in....everything checked okay...looked for the ball bearing, and I believe I saw it in there...I don't know why it's not engaging...

you aligned the 2 dots on pressure plate and inner hub ?

sounds like you have tried everything in the book:)
Is the arm hitting the carb and not returning all the way?
the floats might be flooding it in the carb or getting stuck/perhaps?
got pics..do you have a fuel filter on gas line :D
