Okay guys im new to the forum but not new to atvs. I got a blaster about half a year ago and am in love with it but i want a longer wheel base and wider rear stance. i was told by the shop i got my top end work done at, that I could swap a banshee axle into a blaster swing arms well so i was consider that too. i do a lot of riding at a track with a yearly membership and ride in the mountains and woods as well. my top end is bored and honed at .20 over with an fmf fatty pipe and pro series muffler and a 230 jet. basically im asking what would a good extended swing arm would be? meaning size and manufacturer.and is it easier to swap a banshee axle or get and extended axle for the blaster? thanks guys!

If thats your blaster in the picture, that is not an FMF pipe. its worth much more than that. ct/trinity/f7 whichever one idk. good pipe!

anyways, yes a banshee axle will fit on a model of the blaster. but i think it has to be the 03+ carrier or brakes wont work.
i had a shee axle on my last one and it was great. i have a g-force 2+2 now. which is nice so i can change my width by 4 inches in about 2 min
i also suggest a-arms for front widening. you can do stud spacers and/or flip rims but i still suggest a-arms. ASR probably the best for about $400

as for the swinger. many people on here have extended ones from theswingarmshop on ebay. KOR used to make indestructible ones.
i would go +2 if i were you. it will keep most of your handling on a track and at the same time provide help on the hills.

I run a +2 and its perfect. fully modded blaster and its perfect balance of keeping traction and the front end down

i'm just getting to installing an extended swinger on my blaster from the swingarm shop unfortunately got held up due to crap work on the swing arm the bearing bore in the swing arm is not bored straight making it impossible to install the sleeve inside the arm it hits the side of the bushing instead of going thru i just sent an email to them and pics we shall see what they do
the asr arms are a great improvement to the quad although i'm not a big fan of the heim joints they have with them but they have great customer service and help out no questions asked

They should replace it. that would be manufacture error

one thing i do NOT like about mine. they did not thread any of the holes.
so chain slider and skid plate needs to be bolted on with nuts. doesnt just screw into the swinger :(

^^^ What he said. What other mods, what air filter, air box lid on or off, elevation and riding temps, premix or injection. Hopefully you haven't been riding with that 230 for long. Read up on here about plug chops and also about leak testing. Swingarm shop makes a decent product unless your doing mx or lots of jumps, you may want something more heavy duty. Btw welcome to the forum!

the jets moves the bike really well tho. I will look into different jets. any good swing arm makers out there? just so I don't have the same problems you have?

yea lots of jumps. running with a 230 is fine for it tho. the plug looks good when pulled and I am premixing. Im looking for heavy duty everything. and my air filter is a knock off of K&N

Fine for you, but not for your engine. As Awk said they run well when lean, just not long. You will melt a piston in a short period of time. In order to confirm that your air to fuel ratio is correct you need to plug chop. Looking at the plug after even 10 minutes of riding will not give you an accurate read of your jetting, as the plug goes though all stages of the carb, and will show good as the other stages are good

I hear ya on the lack of threads when I saw that all I thought was damn another trip to the hardware store
Talked to the swing arm shop he said to try tapping the sleeve in but it's out like .030 off center so he said ship it back he'll pay he shipping and send a new one

thats good.

and there is no use tapping the holes for the bolts. they are already too big for stock sizes so you would have to go to hardware store regardless

i hate how i cant run the armadillo skid plate and the oem chainslider. right now i have it turned around but i dont like it
