Do I have to re-jet my carb if I install a oil pump block off kit on my Blaster?

yes not sure on size though.List your mods temp and elevation,also ratio yo plan to mix at and some 1 will give you a ballpark jetting range
My bike is all stock, I bought new top end and cylinder. I was going to install and just drive it but noticed the previous owner already removed the oil tank and lines but left the pump. I will look into it thanks for info. Cheers:)
 
If you add oil to fuel as in the case of pre mix, and at the common ratio of 32:1 the main jet should be increased one size over, to compensate for the diminished fuel in the mix.

It should be confirmed by a plug chop.

Make sure that the pump has had its drive gear taken off and the injection nipple on the carb, capped off and leak free.

Read up on leak testing, heat cycles, and break in procedures if you intend putting a new top end on!

I'm not much of a mechanic I just know how to rebuild top ends. When it comes to carbs i'm lost, do i have to buy any extras to jet my carb
 
before any changes are made, it would pay to plug chop the stock main jet, i'd be willing to bet yamaha has these jetted too rich from the start, as they have to run at vastly varying elevations and temps here, and one jet (230) covers them all ? ..... hogwash !
anywhere but sea level and the stock 230 main is more than likely already 1-2 sizes too rich and is probably safe to run with an aftermarket filter (i've done it for years @ 1800' elevation) OR premixed fuel/oil, but maybe not both ?

Lost me at plug chop fella, could you explain that a bit? ..
 
you mentioned that you got a new cylinder but did you have the new piston/cylinder measured to fit? Torque all of the cylinder and head bolts to spec?

Then factor in that oil injection is what? 18-20:1 ratio, so you would have even more fuel with same size main. And bone stock isn't nearly as "picky" on jetting as a modified engine. However a plug chop/read is still recomended.

By changing the viscosity and quantity of the fuel that will be drawn through the main jet, it may be required that the size of the jet be increased.

To confirm the present jetting do a plug chop.

Just maybe that Yamaha has jetted well on the rich side, but take no chances, the last thing you want to do is run one jet on the lean side.
