ok so i rebuilt my motor and i put new everything and i put more oil in the trany and it started smoking like i was running it really rich why did my crank seal go bad i did start it and ran it with no oil in the trany for 30 sec max but i did not think it would hurt anything and if it didnt why did i start leaking when put more oil back in it

Did you leakdown test it? Did you have cases split? Did you seal the collar to the crank?
i did split it and i used yamalube to seal the case i just put put the new crank seals and it is the burning oil i put in it idk why it is

Case leak might happen if you didn't spread evenly and allowed it to sit for considerable time before assembly/torquing. (hour?+?)

Dimes to doenuts it's a collar leak. Have to have gears and nut on shaft, or the pressure will shoot the collar right out, been there, done that :p
