hello everyone,
This is my first post on this forum.
First a little introduction of myself :)

I'm 22 years old , from Belgium(so excuse me for grammar mistakes xD)
i ride a Yamaha Blaster but the old model, it got an exhaust from Bills pipes, that's the only mod i know of because i bought is second hand.
The dimensions are all in millimeter. It can be that the measurements aren't alls 100% correct, i will let you guys know when i fitted them on my blaster.
I'm going to make a first set for testing next week out of 3mm stainless steel.
First i was thinking about making them in 4 or 5mm aluminum but the stainless is a bit more durable ( i don't want to bend or break while driving)

best regards

Looking good!, and welcome.

Make very sure that the tie rod extensions are very strong, I had extensions and they bent!

The widening kit is finished and mounted. I'm very pleased with the result( for fabricating it from scratch without any measurements)

i'm also gonna post some pics of my DIY tie rod extention.

1st pic: all the pieces cleaned up and ready for mounting
2nd pic: Tie rod adjuster threaded with M10 approx 3cm deep
3rd pic: the two pieces taken apart
4th pic: difference between original length and finished
5th pic: depth of the threaded rod into the adjuster
6th pic: 2 finished pieces
7th pic: result from the widening kit.

But i also want to widen it at the rear end.
I've read about placing an Banshee rear axle, but my blaster is from 2001 and the brake hub must be changed. So if i install a banshee rear axle and Brake hub will my brake rotor disc and brake caliber fit on the brake hub of the banshee?

best regards from belgium :)

Be very wary, the threaded rod (set bar) is prone to bending.

I made these extensions from hex bar with high tensile bolts for the threaded part.

The bolts bent.

Good move, but keep your eyes on them when you ride rough stuff!
i don't ride the rough stuff, because in belgium there are no tracks or places where you can ride an ATV or MX, i hate it xs

But for the rear end, if i install a banshee axle, en i change the brake hub will my rotor and caliber fit?

best regards

The mechanical brake won't line up with the banshee disc/hub on any pre 03 axle/hub. I had to get a different setup. Awk was able to hook me up. In running 2002 carrier w/ banshee axle and hub. Maybe you can space it off the bracket. But the banshee disc is fixed where yours floats.

so for installing a banshee axle i need to change brake hub, brake dic and brake caliber?
I think i'm just going to get a wider axle for the blaster instead of the one for the banshee xD

Thanks for posting these drawings, I just acquired a sheet of 3mm stainless steel today and I'm making a set myself.

that's great, but before you start cutting , check all the measurements, because at some points they aren't 100% correct

Good luck with the project :)
